| The Asus EeePC 1000HE is the first netbook to be supplied with the Intel Atom N280 processor, making it slightly faster than the N270 and slightly more efficient in the power department.
Its ‘chiclet’ style keyboard is 92% full size allowing for more comfortable typing for longer periods. To compare the EeePC 1000HE with the 1100HA there is not much difference. The only difference looks like the the larger screen on the 1100HA which obviously increases the overall size of the netbook. Other than that, you also get a choice of Linux on the 1100HA while the 1000HE is shipped with Windows XP Home. Like its counterpart the 1000HE has a great 9.5 hour battery life and maintains an impressive 160GB Hard Drive as its primary storage device. Theres also a decent amount of RAM, and all Asus EeePC models come with an integrated webcam. This model has a 1.3 megapixel cam and comes in a choice of Pearl white and black. If you need a larger screen then the 1100HA is the Eee to get but if you are not fussed about that extra 1.6 inches then the 1000HE is a perfect secondary small laptop. |
