After a delay in launching, thanks to the new release of Windows 7, the Lenova S12 IdeaPad is a small laptop which delivers a good amount of specification on a variety of fronts.

A 256MB dedicated Nvidia ION graphics and both 29595FU and 295954U having 2GB and 3GB RAM as standard, along with customary Intel Atom 1.6GHz Processor, and a 250MB or 320MB Hard Disk drive.

There are cheaper, less specced IdeaPad S12’s available without the ION chipset, with 1GB RAM and a 160GB Hard Drive. Also Windows 7 is available on the top two models, while the rest make do with Windows XP Home Edition.

With 1280 x 800 resolution and luxorious full sized keyboard and variety of extras including an ExpressCard 34 slot (allowing to add firewire, extra USB, 3G cards etc), this has to be one of the best 12″ laptops on the market, easily surpassing the Dell Mini 12 and the Samsung NC20 on the basis of keyboard alone. This however, is reflected in the price as you can expect to pay a hundred more currency for the privilege of this mini notebook.

Further, included are 3 USB 2.0 ports, VGA, 4-1 Memory Card Reader and Wifi as standard making this, at the higher end a jam packed feature full small laptop
