Nokia, the mobile phone maker have entered the netbook market with this small laptop of considerable note in the connectivity department, without really shaking it up
on the specification side. Supplied with the Atom Z530 1.6 Ghz processor and a 4,200 rpm 120 GB Hard drive, its not going to win any netbook speed trials.
However, as you’d expect from a telephone maker, the small laptop has ALL connectivity options; Wifi, NIC LAN, a GPS reciever, mobile 3G broadband via HSPA (High-Speed Packet Access) and typically nokiaesque high battery life (12 hours). This is due to the impressive 16-cell lithium ion batter
The Booklet’s in encased in an aluminium mould, while the 10-inch glass screen provides 1280 x 720 resolution, sharper than the typical screen of its size. At just 2 cm thick, only the MacBook Air offers similar. Users also get to choose Windows 7 flavors: Starter, Home Premium and Professional, with an equal number or colours on offer.
The 3G connectivity means the price of this netbook will start at around 20% more than even some of the pricier mini laptops around but if you are a mobile professional, then it would be worth it.
