Nvidia Ion Revolution in Graphics for small laptops

In combination with Lenova, Nvidia, the graphics and chip set manufacturer announced the ION graphics processor which delivers 10 times the graphics performance of those currently on the market.

Made for small form factor laptops the ION-based systems will have

• Direct X10 capability
• 1080p High Definition Video
• 7.1 true-fidelity audio
• Compatible with Windows Vista and Windows 7

Also rumoured is the release of the ION platform for VIA Nano chipset in the final quarter of 2009
