Review of Acer Aspire One 532 Netbook

The Product

Acer was a big part of the small laptop revolution that came about a few years ago, and since that time they have been steadily churning out quality netbooks at quality prices.

The new Acer Aspire One 532 is the most recent addition to the Acer family and is one of the first small laptops that comes with N450, which is the newest Intel Atom processor. To say it is feature packed is an understatement, nothing is left out; still it would’ve been nice to have 2GB rather than the maximum supported 1GB Memory, and maybe compromise somewhere else.

The 532 comes in three configurations with the battery life (increasing from 3 cell to 6 cell) being the only significant benefit for choosing the highest end.

This new processor features memory and graphics controllers on one card, which will help batteries last longer and enhance performance. In fact, the Acer Aspire One 532 boasts close to three hours more battery life than the previous version. Although this netbook may be marketed as having better graphical performance, the improvement is not that noticeable.

The small laptop screen is noted as being crisp, clear, and bright thanks to the 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, and the screen coating makes it easy to see in any kind of light.
On top of everything the Aspire One 532 is very durable but does attract some dust and quite a few fingerprints overtime.
