The Product
Dell has come out with a few options in the netbook world that some users have fallen in love with, but if you are a fan of Dell then the Latitude E4200 is the best choice of them all. It is a great compromise in terms of performance and price that users across the world are enjoying.

The E4200 brings a lot more professionalism to the field than Dell normally offers and its practical style reflects that very well. Considering the 12 inch system, everything runs quite smoothly as well which is quite an impressive feat. While it is hard to compare this small laptop to something that is made by Apple or Sony, it does bring a few tangibles to the table.
As with all Dell laptops, the customization options are pretty insane, especially with the media module which allows you to plug in an extra Hard Disk Drive or a CD/DVD Re writer. You also get a choice of Windows Vista or 7 OS and extra physical security features not found on most of the netbook and portable computer range.

Drawbacks include the fact that extra options, once you’ve added them to a basic spec, are quite expensive for this netbook, and the fact that there is no optical drive installed is only partly compensated by the media module. The lack of a webcam built in could also be an issue for some users.
Consumers will be impressed with the full size keyboard and the easy to use touchpad, and also enjoy the fact that the system is easy to configure and remove options from if users want to save money.
Another idea that makes this small laptop unique is the fact that it comes with a second operating system. It is rare to see that in a larger operating system and this all adds up to a longer battery life overall. With a heavy load of use, the battery can last up to 4 hours which is impressive all things considered.
Summary
The Dell E4200 is a very good choice when it comes to small laptops considering the durable design, wide array of software options, and the reasonable price depending on which options you would like to add onto your machine.
