Wi-Fi

Wireless Fidelity, just like Hi-Fi without the wires. Also used as synonym for WLAN or wireless local are network. Its the technology which allows wireless data to be transferred between devices, be that an internet connection or a document or music file.

Wireless

Not exactly, the device that plugs into the wall requires a wire, but you know what they mean.

Windows

Microsoft Windows Operating System. The main piece of software on your computer or laptop. Comes in many flavours including 3.1, NT, 98, 2000, XP, Vista, and coming soon Windows Seven

Word

Microsoft Word is a very widely used wordprocessing program

Widescreen

Landscape rather than portrait. A rectangular screen rather than a square screen. Good for movies and presentations. Not everyones preference though.
